Some of these nuggets are just too good not to share :) . This is such an amazing analysis of one of the most basic of human emotions. Something that we often find hard to deal with. And here, the solution is so simple and yet effective. But to implement it needs the strength of the inner faculties and that is why the need for sadhana. The sadhana enables us to hang on to knowledge in the situations, and that’s why sadhana and knowledge go hand in hand.

Arosa, (Switzerland), May 10, (Sunday): It is easy to tell someone not to hate. How not to hate? Why does hatred come? Because you think that they are the cause of our misery. That is why problem, pain, and loss arise. When you get a glimpse of consciousness deep inside, the Self is in everyone, taking care of all events. It is I who is playing that role. Me, in that person. Hatred disappears from the world around you. One who sees the being in oneself and oneself in all beings is like a director, he plans the roles. So he does not hate the villain. Your approach to events and personalities changes. We are like rag dolls. There is one consciousness in all.
It is not only humans, all elements are part of that consciousness. Whether water vapor, ice or water, all are One. All five elements are nothing. All are a part of that something that is nothing. This is the heart sutra by Buddha. So all is nothing.

Once when I was thinking on this question, I thought I had hit upon a paradox. If everything is unreal, how can it lead us out of the unreal? I asked myself if this world appearance is unreal – as the yoga vashista and other advaitic texts proclaim, then all our sadhana is also unreal. So what is the point of doing sadhana. for eg. in a dream, all that i experience is unreal, how can any action that i do in a dream lead me to wake up. For only when i wake up do i realize it was a dream!

I decided that this was a question fit to be asked of Guruji. And one day I got my chance. It so happened that I was in a car with Guruji and the drive was a long one :) In a period of silence, I shyly popped this question to HIM.

“Guruji, how can my actions in my dream take me out of it? if they cant, then what is the point of doing sadhana to get liberation from this world existence?”

Guruji smiled and liberated me from the question very simply!

“In the dream, when a lion roars, you wake up!”

This new year wish for happiness in which you can serve and share. Every crisis brings up your strength, skills and abilities. When problems come, ask for the strength to be centered. This new year, learn from the previous year and move on knowing that you are timeless.

Its amazing how He makes us useful, both when we are joyful or in misery. Every moment has a learning for us. The art of living is the ability to learn from each moment and move forward.

That which you cannot reject/renounce is Beauty.
That which you cannot avoid is the Truth.”

Seva would definitely remove karma of entanglement. If seva cannot remove, then knowledge will remove entanglement. If knowledge cannot remove, then Bhakti (devotion) can surely remove entanglement. If even Bhakti is not able to remove entanglement then leave it to time. With time entanglement will surely dissolve. But don’t just leave it to time without trying all the other means!

This came on facebook from that excellent group started by rajesh gehani from moscow. I am just amazed at how there are so many options given. Each option is so complete in itself. And all together they really speed up the process.

Thus guruji clearly says at the end that one should not just leave it to time without trying the other means. Time is the ultimate healer, but using the other means we can get back much faster. How amazing. :)
