Sutras, by definition, are concise and, just like one unfolds a lotus bud into a beautiful flower, one needs to explore the depths of meaning in each syllable of the sutra. The other amazing thing about the yogasutras (as they are often called) is the fact that they are so precise and delineate all the aspects of practice for a yogic enthusiast. All this means that one really needs to go deeper into its meaning and not just skim the surface for the outer meanings.

We are all lucky that Guruji has expounded on such a text; HIS commentaries serve to bring about the practical aspects of the sutras and how a sadhaka can utilise them in his or her daily life. To read Guruji’s commentaries on the Patanjali yoga sutras, click here or on the picture.
